KIYANA RICHARDSON

Kiyana Richardson, President, is manager of all business operations. She executes marketing plans, produces events, and quarterbacks investments in early stage technology companies.

Kiyana was formerly the Director of Marketing and Events at the Council of Urban Professionals (CUP), an energetic 21st century leadership development organization, with overall responsibility for designing and executing a multi-faceted marketing, communications and events platform to raise the profile of the organization, highlight its talented members, create forums for provocative discussion and enhance the online and offline high impact networking opportunities for CUP members.

She was previously the Director of Marketing and Small Business Services at Brick City Development Corporation (BCDC), the City of Newark’s economic development organization founded by Mayor Cory Booker.  She had overall responsibility for external communication activity and outreach including brand and sub-brand development, website development, the fielding of media outreach to local, regional, and national media outlets, stakeholder and community outreach, city-wide small business programs and services and event functions related to small business growth and development in Newark.  While at BCDC, Kiyana also worked on the team that provided small business owners in the City of Newark with access to financing, technical assistance, and training.

She is a graduate of The University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.  Kiyana is active in various civic and community organizations.
